The couple Li Lin and Li Juan had two boys and a girl. Since girls are pretty much worth nothing in china, they sold her, for $500. For what she was sold to is a mystery, but feel free to use your imagination.
However that wasn't enough money to keep their game addiction going, they proceeded to sell their 1st born male. He was worth $4600. They then wanted to keep the operation going, and when they had their third child, a male, they sold him for the same price as their first boy, $4600.
They would have probably kept the business of popping out kids for cash if Li Lin's mother didn't wonder what happened to her grandchildren.
When they were finally turned into the authorities and asked if they had missed their kids, they stated "We don't want to raise them, we just want to sell them for some money".
According to the Chinese Newspaper Sanxiang City News reports that the the couple didn't know they were breaking the law.
The moral of the story here is, lets not get too crazy about our game addictions.
