A park bench that snaps your photo when you sit, then uploads it to Twitter! Connecting people physically with their favorite social network.
This bench was made by Chris McNicholl. On his site he states that the purpose of this bench is "to explore the potential for connection digital and physical communities". Which I think is a brilliant idea.
There are two cameras simultaneously snapping a picture, then uploading it to the Twitterfeed. One camera is on the bench, taking a photo of the surroundings. Another camera is in a tree, taking a picture of you. It's still in the testing phase at Dundee University. Follow the tweetingseat to be updated on the project.
